Favorite scene from Mad Men last night.
We approached Le Bernardin with awe because of its reputation as THE top restaurant in the city. It is a longtime holder of the top-star ratings by Michelin Guide. We spent almost four hours in this famous restaurant, which has its origins in France. (Our reservation was scored by celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain.) It was an unforgettable experience because of the elegant food and impeccable service. We came away marveling at the highly professional serving staff, the sommelier who described the wines he paired with each course and the chefs in the kitchen. We were surprised when Eric Ripert, owner of Le Bernardin, invited us into the kitchen. Usually when I visit restaurants, there is no effort to show off the kitchen.
I want to go to there.

This is worthwhile.
Animated GIFs: The Birth of a Medium from PBS.
Check this out, a large part of it is devoted to Tumblr and some familiar faces pop up (topherchris, the creators of the cinemagraph Kevin and Jamie of From Me to You). I like how even in this video Kevin and Jamie look more hi-res than everyone else.
I reference this ALL the time now.

She was gold on this show.
TBH, most of this show was gold.
I wish it were still going.

What a gorgeous ring. I am fixed on the black sterling silver rendition.
Probably what I’ll give my husband for valentine’s day.
